GP, campaigner, friend and supporter of KOSHH appeared on Sky News on 7/7/2016 to discuss the proposed new junior doctor contract.
Dr Bob Gill explains some of the problems with the government's proposed junior doctors contract, which the majority of junior doctor members of the BMA have recently, and quite rightly voted to reject.
Patients interests would not be best served by the proposed contract, not least because tired doctors make mistakes, and this contract will inevitably lead to junior doctors working for longer, and does not provide any form of whistleblowing protection for junior doctors. Worse, this contract directly discriminates against women, and part-time workers.
