Survey: Will the “Improving Healthcare Together 2020-2030” plan, improve healthcare?

Merton, Sutton & Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have begun an "Engagement" on a set of proposals they have called "Improving Healthcare Together".

We would REALLY like to know your opinion on these proposals. Please complete the survey below.

The plan makes a number of proposals, for the future of healthcare in our area.

You can read the "Issues Paper" by clicking here or on the PDF icon below.

Just like the proposals which were published in 2017 by the Epsom & St Helier Trust, if enacted these proposals would remove Acute services from ONE OR BOTH of Epsom Hospital AND St Helier Hospitals, such as:

- Accident & Emergency
- Maternity
- Paediatrics
- Intensive Care
- Cancer Care
- Coronary Care
- Emergency Surgery

The title of the proposals suggest that they will "Improve Healthcare" by providing less of it, at fewer sites, with fewer Acute hospital beds, located further away from MOST patients, by fewer Consultants.

While this is ongoing, the Epsom & St Helier Trust have ALREADY SOLD 20% of the land and buildings at Epsom Hospital, and have employed Savills Estate Agents to lobby Sutton Council, to get the designation of the Land beneath St Helier Hospital changed, so that it too can be used for "Residential and Other" purposes.
